The main focus of Jiu Jitsu is to effectively control your opponent using technique and leverage in order to achieve the goal of submission using a choke or joint lock.

The most important thing to remember is to have fun, Jiu Jitsu is a high intensity activity, a typical lesson will consist of a warm up followed by

  • Self Defence Curriculumn
  • Focused Technique
  • Sparring

What should I wear?

If you don’t have a kimono or gi then a t-shirt, shorts or tracksuit will be fine. Just make sure there are no zips or buttons.

Do I need to be physically fit?

Jiu Jitsu is an individual journey, you go at your own pace. Your fitness will improve as you train.
